June 19, 20062am (Breathe) lyrics... this is such a good song
2 AM and she calls me 'cause I'm still awake,
"Can you help me unravel my latest mistake?, I don't love him. Winter just wasn't my season" Yeah we walk through the doors, so accusing their eyes Like they have any right at all to criticize, Hypocrites. You're all here for the very same reason 'Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table No one can find the rewind button, girl. So cradle your head in your hands And breathe... just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe May he turn 21 on the base at Fort Bliss Just today he sat down to the flask in his fist, "Ain't been sober, since maybe October of last year." Here in town you can tell he's been down for a while, But, my God, it's so beautiful when the boy smiles, Wanna hold him. Maybe I'll just sing about it. Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable, And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table. No one can find the rewind button, boys, So cradle your head in your hands, And breathe... just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe There's a light at each end of this tunnel, You shout 'cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out And these mistakes you've made, you'll just make them again If you only try turning around. 2 AM and I'm still awake, writing a song If I get it all down on paper, it's no longer inside of me, Threatening the life it belongs to And I feel like I'm naked in front of the crowd Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud And I know that you'll use them, however you want to But you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable, And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table No one can find the rewind button now Sing it if you understand. and breathe, just breathe woah breathe, just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe.

May 22, 2006"Dating the sunshine and the sand"
An entry from Landon Pigg's myspace blog + HES COMING TO THE WEST COAST! Score.
"1.... we were in ny for a month 2.... we held a residency at a rising club called pianos in the east village (every monday) that housed franz ferdinand's first u.s. gig among others. 3.... between the mondays at pianos, we played with the pink spiders in hartford,ct to about 10 young girls, we played with a celtic band in boston that happened to be the house band in the movie titanic (if you remember, on the lower levels people drinking and dancing about), we played with another band in philly made up of 80's rockers that included a gray-haired pony-tailed drummer who used a fan to blow his hair whilst playing, and a keyboardest who steeped the audience in amazing 80's synth sounds...to give you an idea, the first song they performed was an instrumental piece that reminded us of the trans-siberian orhcestra...honestly, i do consider it a treat to have played with these gentlemen, i just wish you could have been there to witness it yourself. 4.... we stayed in a motel called vienna wolftrap motel, in va. need i say more. we stayed in another place that smelled a little like diarrhea just outside of boston. we've also stayed in a fancy one in manhatten, so, i guess we've jumped on both beds. 5.... our shows have been alright. at pianos, they've been more consistantly good, but it seems like there is always something...especially in the tiny clubs were no one at all knows the name. oh, the name landon pigg. 6.... so, we have said our goodbyes to ny and the rest of that coast, and we are about to start dating the sunshine and the sand...(and also that dude from the o.c. and his band, adam b, which will be a good time) 7, 8 ,9 and 10.... please wish us luck. ~landon" The tour dates: May 30 2006 8:00P Underground Cafe Sacramento, CA May 31 2006 8:00P Slims San Fransisco, CA Jun 1 2006 8:00P The Key Club Los Angeles, CA Jun 4 2006 8:00P Galaxy Theatre Santa Ana, CA Jun 7 2006 8:00P Kayo Gallery Salt Lake City, UT Jun 9 2006 8:00P Marquis Theatre Denver , CO Jun 10 2006 8:00P Launch Pad Alberqueque, NM Jun 12 2006 8:00P Juanitas Little Rock, AZ Jul 2 2006 8:00P 3rd & Lindsley Nashville, TN

May 15, 2006James Blunt interview in Harp Magazine
Original Source here. By Aidin Vaziri.
Last year, James Blunt’s debut album, Back to Bedlam, sold more copies than Coldplay’s X&Y in the U.K. This year, the former British Army captain and “You’re Beautiful” songwriter attempts to have similar success in America. Harp: Did you really sell more albums than Coldplay? Blunt: For this particular album, for that particular year, yeah. Bear in mind they have sold millions across the world for three albums, so if you add up how much I’ve sold compared to them, it’s no. Harp: Nor have you married Gwyneth Paltrow. Blunt: No, and I don’t think I probably will. Harp: But you totally could if you wanted to. Blunt: No. I think the charts imply some kind of competition but music isn’t about competing, is it? It’s about making a connection. Harp: You were in the British Army? Blunt: Right. Harp: That’s the question. Blunt: It was just a day job. When I go out with my friends and stuff they don’t ask me about my time in the army because it’s just not that interesting. Harp: How about the way people criticize you by saying you play with military precision? Blunt: There are lots of examples of really sloppy journalism. Harp: But you also get some good headlines out of it like “James Blunt Is the Bomb.” Blunt: Exactly. Harp: Do you really feel like going through the hassle of breaking this album all over again? Blunt: It’s really great to play it for people who haven’t heard it before. For me, it’s also a new country. I haven’t traveled around, and that’s a new experience in itself. Harp: What will you do after you conquer America? Blunt: I have yet to do that. It sounds a little mean. Harp: I need to keep the military references in there. Blunt: It’s an invasion. I’d much rather come over and connect with people on a musical level. I think the notion of musical success, I would use the example of Cat Power. She has inspired me. She may not have raced up any charts but she’s a huge success in my mind. Harp: The part where you say you want to “connect with people,” would you mind if I changed it to, “I want to land like a grenade and shoot people in the face”? Blunt: Yeah, that’s a good definition.
